A clear quotation request saves time for both buyer and manufacturer. The more specific the brief, the easier it is to discuss materials, sampling, price ranges and lead times. A vague request can only produce a vague answer.

Start with the product list and quantities. Include category, intended use, sizes, weights, colors and any known variants. If you are unsure, explain the launch goal so the production team can recommend a practical starting point.

Attach branding files and placement notes early. Vector logos, Pantone or color references, label ideas and packaging references help the manufacturer identify feasible methods before sample work begins.

Explain the sales channel. Gym distribution, ecommerce, retail shelves and event merchandise all require different packaging, labeling and carton planning. Shipping destination and preferred delivery method also affect the quotation.

Finally, identify the decision timeline. If samples are needed for an event or launch date, build in time for review, revision and approval rather than assuming bulk production can begin immediately.
