Planning a BJJ Gi Size Run for Team Orders

Size planning is where many custom Gi orders become harder than they need to be. A broad range looks inclusive, but every additional size increases sampling notes, labels, packing and inventory risk. The goal is to cover real demand without creating slow-moving stock.
Academies can start with student data from existing uniforms. Count current sizes, expected new members and common gaps. Brands without sales history can begin with a conservative core range and expand after the first reorder reveals demand patterns.
Samples should be reviewed for fit after wash expectations are understood. Jacket length, sleeve reach, trouser rise, knee room and belt loop placement all affect how athletes judge the product. Fit comments should be tied to size, not treated as universal feedback.
Color and patch variations should be kept under control in early orders. A white, blue and black Gi program across several sizes can quickly multiply into many SKUs. Keep the first launch simple enough to manage.
Reorders become easier when every carton, label and purchase record uses the same size naming. Consistent SKU logic is not glamorous, but it saves time when the academy needs a refill fast.
